Which formats are provided and how to use them?

For a starter there are KMZ-files which of course are used as groundoverlays with Google Earth, but also can be used as overlays in LOCUS Maps. For use in LOCUS just put the KMZ into your map-items folder and then activate them from within the application (see how it is down HERE and HERE on YouTube..).

The SQLITEDB-files can also be used in LOCUS Maps. Just save them to your ~locus/maps folder and then use them as basemap, or as map-overlay. There is one drawback with the use of the SQLITEDB-files: the background areas that are supposed to be fully transparent are white, thus, when used as semi-transparent overlays, the underneath basemap will be whitened a bit. I'll looking for a fix of this issue..
